The Ministry

Red Seal Ministries — an outpouring of God's love to ignite revival fire.

Founded by Rick and Maria Sainz, Red Seal Ministries is a non‑profit, apostolic equipping hub based in San Diego — training and sending God's people for revival, healing and freedom in Jesus Christ.

Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame.

Senior Leaders

Maria & Rick Sainz — pastors and founders.

Passionate about equipping God's people for revival. Together, Rick and Maria pastor Red Seal Ministries and shepherd a growing family of saints across San Diego.

Maria Sainz

Born and raised in San Diego, Maria's early years were shaped by musical theater, art, ballet, beauty pageants and the fashion and television world as a makeup artist. After graduating from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in Design, a long search for identity through new‑age spirituality brought her to the end of herself.

She received Christ at a church in Westwood and, months later, endured the sudden loss of her father — a moment that drew her deeply into Scripture. After four years of insomnia, anxiety and depression, a radical encounter with God brought healing. Soon she was praying for others and teaching a small women's Bible study that became the foundation of more than sixteen years of teaching ministry.

Rick Sainz

Rick was saved at a Billy Graham crusade when he was ten years old and grew into a devoted servant in worship and mentoring. After Rick and Maria married in 1997, they spent a season as full‑time caregivers to Rick's mother — witnessing her physical and emotional healing from trauma.

They spent several years hosting small groups in their home together, which grew into a full‑time ministry — now Red Seal Ministries. In 2014 they were ordained as pastors through Gary Goodell and Third Day Church, and they have hosted weekly meetings at CCF for over nine years, with many being saved, delivered and healed by the power of Jesus.

Our Mission

An apostolic network that equips and sends.

Apostolic centers are a culture that affects all of society — not only equipping saints to walk in miracles and gifts of the Spirit, but to be brought into maturity (Eph. 4:13–14).

Kingdom Equipping Center

An apostolic network training and equipping the church — a house that equips saints (Eph. 4:11) and sends them out (John 20:21) to do the work of the ministry.

Fathers helping sons and daughters mature

Countless tutors, but few fathers. Red Seal is committed to fatherhood in the faith — walking with people until Christ is formed in them (1 Cor. 4:15–16).

Empowered for the work of the ministry

An impartation released from the fivefold offices to the saints so we are more effective in the assignments given to each of us (Romans 1:11; Matt. 10:1).

Releasing the church into her calling

Once equipped, we go — carrying God's power, wisdom and love beyond church walls to reach the lost for Christ (Acts 8:14; Acts 13:1–4; 2 Tim. 4:11–12).

Our Passion

Revival, freedom and restoration through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our hearts are to bring revival, freedom and restoration to the world through the gospel of Jesus Christ — with the demonstration of signs, wonders and miracles and the power and love of Christ. Our focus is on ushering in God's presence and honoring the Holy Spirit in all of our gatherings.

We long to see people encounter the living God and experience life‑changing moments of healing, deliverance and salvation — then be discipled and equipped to come into their true identity in Christ and sent out to bring freedom to others.

We are intentional. Our desire is to see God bring cultural and spiritual reformation to cities, regions and nations as the Church comes into her place as the new government — an army of authority and the Bride Jesus is returning for.

Fresh Vision for 2026

We believe God is moving radically in our cities and homes. In 2026 we are expanding our reach through online platforms, mentorships, podcasts and our Saturday services — training, discipling and releasing people into ministry so many more can step into their true identity and destiny in Christ. Full details will be shared on Saturday, January 10th, the day we resume our services.

Community & Mentorship

A family of the sealed and the sent.

Red Seal is more than a Saturday gathering — it's a mentorship community, a mall ministry, an equipping school and a family that supports missionaries and the needs of our city.

Mentorship with Maria

A private Facebook community for women being mentored through Maria's teaching, prayer and ongoing formation.

Equipping classes & conferences

Ongoing teaching, equipping schools and conferences that ground believers in Scripture and release them in the gifts of the Spirit.

Outreaches & missions

Mall ministries, missionary support and outreaches across San Diego and beyond — carrying the gospel with signs following.

Declarations We Live From

Sealed truths we speak over our lives.

These identity declarations — printed on our Red Seal cards — anchor how we pray, teach and disciple. Each is stamped with the wax seal because it is a promise God has covenanted with His people.

What is Red Seal?

Marked by His love — sealed and sent.

One night during worship, Maria was taken into a vision of a masked horseman handing her a large parchment envelope with a red wax seal. The letter read: 'Meet me at 10 am tomorrow.' God knows how to get our attention — and He invites us into relationship.

In ancient times, wax seals verified the authenticity of a document and its sender. Scripture uses that image over and over: “The Lord knows those who are His” (2 Tim. 2:19). We are marked with His name. We belong to Him. Like a marriage vow, He promises to fulfill His covenant with us — because of His great love, we can be assured of His promises.

“In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.” (Eph. 1:13) The Holy Spirit is the initial down payment of our full redemption as God's marked possession.

The Red represents the blood‑bought sacrifice of Jesus — His blood shed for our sins, sealing the transaction and covering us. The Torch within the seal represents revival fire — a fire that can only be carried through love. When we love Jesus with intensity and live it all for Him, we can move in power for His purposes and be a witness for Christ.

There is a mandate on every person: as God's possession, we are to pass His love on to others.
